A LessTif core member is a person who has write CVS access, ie, they can
commit patches directly to the LessTif source tree. Typically they are
the most active developers. It should be noted, however, that anyone
can submit a patch to the mailing list,
but only the core team members can merge the patches with the source. The
purpose of having core team members is to increase efficiency; if only one
person could commit changes, that one person would spend all their time posting
changes to CVS (that's what happened to Chris Toshok, more-or-less.)
